Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez expresses this Monday that South America has been shielded as a continent of peace, where will not be allowed the advance of the United States on its search to invade under the pretext of an anti-terror battle.“They will not come to tell us stories about that we have chemical weapons, that we are massacring our people, the we support terrorism. They will not come with their fleet to fire down this continent,” Chavez said during a phone interview at a local television channel.

The Venezuelan President took the opportunity to criticize a recent speech of US President Barack Obama, who affirmed that “Libya"s method may be used in any other country to fight against terrorism.”Chavez branded that expression as the “greatest cynicism” in the face of a massacre or invasion to rich countries in oil matters.South America and Africa together add up to at least 40 percent of the world"s proven oil reserves. This situation results attractive for imperial forces which was previously published in unknown books but which is now “announced publicly to the world,” Chavez said.

President Chavez lamented that the projects and the Africa - South America Summit have not advanced due to the conflict in Africa, “we should be getting ready for the Summit in Tripoli, but it was not possible.”In the face of the events, the Venezuelan President called peoples of the world to resist the invasive aggression of the United States and European countries. He expressed that in strategy and joint work with governments allied to South America, “we shall begin shielding this continent as zone of peace (…) It has been really hard to get out of a mess as to allow them to damage everything.”
